Bishop Joel N. Martinez is a native of Seguin, Texas. He served as a Pastor, Superintendent, and Bishop of the United Methodist Church. He served as Bishop in the State of Nebraska (1992-2OOO) and Bishop of the San Antonio Area (2000-2008). Retired and residing in San Antonio, he is a graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso and Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the National Board of the Industrial Areas Foundation.
